Tomorrow’s Voices answered the call for effective social skills training and development in Bermuda with our Saturday Social Skills Group. A social skills development group designed to build pro-social behaviors and increase the functional life and daily living skills of the youth in our program. Programming includes centre based fun and therapeutic activities along with community outings and exploration.

Social skills impact every aspect of our lives. Social skills development is as important as the development of academic skills (Krehbiel, Family Resource). Evidence suggest that a lack of social skills development can be a predictor of future school difficulties (Holmes, 2000)

Our Social Skills group also functions as parent and caregiver respite. While parents and caregivers are encouraged to join in with our Saturday Social Skills outings, they are also encouraged to use this time as respite to either get some much needed rest or perhaps take time to run a few errands.

Volunteers are at the heart of everything that Tomorrow’s Voices does. As such, we always need volunteers to help out with our many programmes and services. Our Saturday Social Skills Group is no exception. If you are a teenager who needs volunteer hours for school, please consider joining us on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month. If you are an adult member of the community and are looking for a fun and exciting way to give back to the community, please consider joining our group.

We also need volunteers who have special abilities (needs). Tomorrow’s Voices firmly believes that all people can contribute something positive to their communities. If you are the parent or caregiver of a teenager or young adult with disabilities, please consider having your child join our group as a special needs volunteer. Although your child may have exceptionalities, it may be the case that they have something to contribute to the group as a volunteer. Please contact the centre at 297-4342 or  This email address is being protected from spambots.
