April 19th AAM Workshop - Natural Environment Teaching

Wed. 19 Apr, 2023 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join Tomorrow's Voices for our Autism Awareness Month Virtual Workshop

Natural Environment Teaching
Play, Daily Living & Leisure Skills - We Can't Have All Work and No Play!

April 19, 2023   |   6:00-8:00pm      Via Zoom      Cost: $25.00

When motivation is present, research has indicated, that individuals are more likely to acquire or be interested in learning new skills. Some individuals may have a small bank of motivating items/activities to pull from.

This workshop will go in to detail about how to establish items/actions as reinforcing leisurely activities, how to teach individuals how to appropriately play, and how to teach new skills through the use of play to individuals within a naturally occurring setting. This workshop will also discuss daily living skills as these are activities that would happen in the natural environment setting for older learners, as opposed to play!

We hope to see you there!
